Tiara Starks graduated from Northwestern University in 2014 with a degree in Cognitive Science, concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience. She worked as a research assistant in the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab under Dr. James Booth. At the SJNP Lab, Tiara is the lab manager and handles all lab accounts and finances, and also helps with all aspects of the research process on projects and supervises research assistants. Tiara is currently interested in exploring research in many topics of cognitive neuroscience and cognitive psychology. She is especially intrigued by the study of neurological deficits and neurodegenerative diseases. Tiara hopes to continue and specify these research topics in graduate school. Her non-academic interests include figure skating, singing, dancing, music, and discussing the current social structure and ways to overcome its shortcomings.
